Manus. Latin for hand. A language Italy has carried for two thousand years, given now to an object built for the present.

The choice was never arbitrary. Manus is the hand that wears it — the one that finds, the instant it closes around the wheel, a fit so considered it asks nothing of you.

It is also the hand that made it: the artisan's hand, unhurried and exacting, that has shaped every stitch in an Italian atelier long before yours ever touched the glove.

And it is, in the end, the hand at the precise moment of contact — where driver and machine cease to be separate things, and the wheel is no longer held but commanded.

One word. Three meanings.

All of them true at once.

GETAIL DESIGN x FREEM

There are objects that reveal their nature the moment they are held — before a word of explanation, before a single specification is offered. G23 Manus is one of them.

It is the fruit of a shared conviction between two Italian houses — that what touches the wheel must be, in every measurable and immeasurable sense, worthy of it. GETAIL DESIGN — born in Bergamo, devoted to the pursuit of objects that transcend their category — entrusted its vision to FREEM, one of Italy's most respected names in professional motorsport protection, a house that has spent decades at the absolute limit of racing, trusted by factory teams, professional drivers, and the most demanding federations in the world. Two houses. One shared refusal to accept anything that is merely adequate.

In the ateliers of FREEM, each pair of G23 Manus gloves is cut, assembled, and finished entirely by hand. One pair at a time. With the unhurried, undeviating devotion of Italian tailoring at its most uncompromising. FREEM does not produce garments. They produce instruments — each one the result of relentless research, the most advanced technologies the discipline has ever known, and a craftsmanship that has never once accepted the separation of the technical from the beautiful.

This is the same glove worn by professional drivers on their way to FIA karting world titles. The same homologation. The same aramidic fibres. The same standard that has accompanied champions to the podium. CIK-FIA 8877-2022 certified — not as a formality, but as a natural consequence of what these gloves already are: 70 newtons of tearing resistance, 150 rpm of abrasion protection, built to a standard that competition demanded and craft exceeded.

The Italian fabrics are selected with the same rigour one applies to the rarest of materials — for their protection, for their breathability, and for that particular quality of comfort that only the most disciplined hand can coax from a textile. Worn across hours of competition, G23 Manus does not fatigue, does not intrude, does not remind you of its presence. This is not manufacturing. This is the art of making — ancient, Italian, and held to a standard that has no ceiling.

DESIGN

G23 Manus is conceived around the hand, not applied to it. Its pre-curved architecture follows the natural disposition of the fingers at rest on the wheel — a form so considered that it eliminates resistance before it can arise. There is no adjustment period. No accommodation required. It settles as though shaped for you alone — because in every sense that matters, through months of study and iteration, it was. Elegance, here, is not aesthetic. It is anatomical.

DETAIL

Silicon ultra-grip anchors the palm with a precision that does not yield under the demands of competition. External finger seams hold the fit with quiet, absolute authority — placed not where convention dictated, but where the hand required. Every stitch considered. Every material chosen with intention. It is here, in what cannot be seen from a distance, that the true character of G23 Manus is most honestly revealed. This is where the hand finds its perfect command of the wheel — and where it is held.

VISIONARY

The GETAIL DESIGN aesthetic is rendered in sublimated graphics that move with the fabric rather than against it, preserving breathability without surrendering an instant of visual sovereignty. We did not seek a glove that was merely technical, nor one that was merely elegant. We sought one that held both, without concession — occupying a station entirely its own, carrying the full authority of professional competition while bearing the mark of a brand that has never been interested in what already exists.

There is a certain kind of object — and those who have held one will recognise this immediately — that asks nothing of you but discernment. It does not announce itself. It does not compete for attention. It simply is what it is, completely and without apology, and it asks only that the person holding it be capable of understanding what they are holding.

G23 Manus was conceived to be the finest glove — made as Italian tailors have always made things, with materials that are chosen rather than merely sourced, by hands that understand the difference between a stitch that holds and a stitch that is right. The process is longer. The standard is higher. The result is an object that, like all objects of genuine excellence, reveals more of itself the longer it is in your hands.

Not everyone will understand this. And that, as it has always been with things of true quality, is precisely as it should be.

Warranty & Support

Is the G23 Manus CIK-FIA approved for karting?

Yes — approved to CIK-FIA standard 8877-2022, engineered to withstand 70N of tearing resistance and 150 rpm of abrasion protection. Like any protective garment, it reduces injury risk on impact but doesn't eliminate it entirely.

Can I get them customized or embroidered?

Only the manufacturer can add embroidery or prints. Any unauthorized customization voids the FIA homologation, which can mean penalties or disqualification if worn in competition.

How do I choose the right size?

Size should be based on your palm circumference, aiming for a snug but comfortable fit — too tight or too loose both reduce the level of protection the gloves provide.

Size Guide

SIZE GUIDE — G23 MANUS

20.5–21.5 cm: Size 9 (S)
22–23 cm: Size 10 (M)
23.5–26 cm: Size 11 (L)
26+ cm: Size 12 (XL)

How to measure: wrap the tape around the palm, excluding the thumb, at its widest point.

How do I wash them?

Machine wash inside out at 30°C max, using only mild, neutral soap. No fabric softener, no bleach, no dry cleaning, no ironing.

How do I dry them?

Air dry at room temperature, away from heat sources and direct sunlight — sunlight can cause discoloration. Never use a dryer or tumble drum.

What if they come into contact with fuel or chemicals?

Wash them immediately. Contact with fuel, solvents, or other chemicals can damage the materials if left untreated.

How long can I use them in competition?

Up to 5 years under CIK-FIA 8877-2022, provided they show no cuts, tears, or other alterations. Regular inspection is recommended to catch wear before it compromises protection.

Can I repair or modify them myself?

No — under FIA rules, only the manufacturer can repair or alter them. Any unauthorized modification voids the homologation and can result in penalties or disqualification if worn in competition.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are shipped directly from Italy via DHL Express GoGreen Plus, at no cost to you, worldwide. Estimated transit from courier pick-up is 1–3 business days within Europe, 1–4 to the US, Canada, and UK, and 2–6 to the rest of the world.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide at no additional shipping cost.

Are customs duties included?

Customs duties are borne by the buyer for destinations outside the EU, San Marino, Monaco, and a small number of other exempt territories — we recommend checking your country's import regulations before ordering.

What warranty does G23 Manus come with?

G23 Manus is covered by the standard 2-year European warranty against manufacturing defects — flaws in material or workmanship. It does not cover damage from normal wear, misuse, or accidental damage caused by the customer.

What's your return and exchange policy?

You have 14 days from delivery to request a return. The item must arrive back to us unworn, unused, and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase — returns sent without first being requested won't be accepted. To exchange, return your item first, then place a separate order once the return is approved.

Who covers return shipping and customs?

Return shipping and any customs duties on the returned item are the customer's responsibility.

How and when do refunds get processed?

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll confirm whether it's approved. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method; shipping fees are refundable only if the order hasn't shipped yet. Bank processing times may add a few additional days.
