Difference G1-70/123 & G1-SM
The G1 is available in three distinct versions:
- G1-70/123: are 70mm and 123mm long, compatible with almost all direct drive bases since they have the 70mm pcd and Simucube pcd hole pattern on both sides, are very light since they weigh 119g and 163g, available in a variety of colors.
- G1-SM: is 100mm long, compatible only with Simucube bases since it has only the simucube pcd on one side and 70mm pcd and simucube pcd on the other, it weighs 181g.

In the realm of sim racing, where immersion dictates experience, one element stands as the foundation of realism: the Field of View (FOV). It is the bridge between the virtual and the tangible, the parameter that determines how deeply a driver becomes one with the simulator.
FOV is sculpted by two defining factors: the distance of the eyes from the screen and their height relative to it. Yet, in many racing setups, achieving the ideal FOV remains elusive, hampered by design constraints, misalignment, and an inability to finely tailor positioning. This limitation fractures immersion, leaving the sim racer disconnected, unable to experience the raw authenticity of the track.
Perfect FOV
G1, an avant-garde extension meticulously crafted to redefine what is possible. With its proprietary and pioneering thin-shaft design, G1 repositions the direct drive wheelbase, allowing the screen to be lowered to an unprecedented degree.
By seamlessly integrating beneath the monitor, G1 enables a level of customization never before seen, allowing each sim racer to sculpt their cockpit to perfection. Through rigorous testing, G1 has facilitated monitor adjustments exceeding 10 cm, enhancing the FOV by over 50 degrees in certain configurations. The result? An immersion so profound that the virtual dissolves into the real.
But G1 is not merely an instrument of FOV precision; it is an extension of ergonomic mastery. By altering the spatial relationship between driver and wheel, G1 unlocks newfound comfort, enabling a more natural and dynamic driving posture.
It is also a revelation in accessibility. The refined positioning grants enhanced ease of ingress and egress from the cockpit, ensuring that every moment, whether behind the wheel or stepping away, feels effortless and intuitive.
Craftsmanship is an art of balance, a symphony of materials and design. With G1, we have orchestrated a marvel of engineering, achieving an extraordinary weight of just 120g/163g.
This weightlessness ensures that the direct drive base remains unburdened, preserving the purity of force feedback. No unwanted inertia, no added strain, only the unfiltered, unrelenting sensation of the road, as if the machine itself were an extension of the driver’s intent.
True innovation is found not only in performance but in the experience of interaction. Recognizing the untapped potential in the installation process, we reimagined G1 from its very core.
The result is our revolutionary staggered dual-helix design, an engineering triumph that transforms mounting into an effortless act. With a simple screwdriver, G1 can be installed swiftly and seamlessly, minimizing downtime and maximizing precision.
Versatility is paramount, and G1 embodies a commitment to uncompromising compatibility. Designed to natively support all wheels and direct drive bases featuring the 70mm bolt pattern, G1 also integrates the Simucube pattern, eliminating the need for cumbersome adapters.
This meticulous engineering ensures not only universal adaptability but also the freedom to bypass Simucube’s native quick-release system, further refining and tailoring the cockpit to the individual racer’s needs.
Material selection is an art dictated by the pursuit of excellence. Through extensive simulations and real-world testing, we have chosen aerospace-grade 6061 aluminum, meticulously machined from a single block via precision CNC craftsmanship. This choice achieves the ultimate equilibrium of rigidity and lightness, ensuring an uncompromised driving experience.
Yet, at Getail Design, engineering alone does not define a masterpiece. It must also captivate.
The G1-SM emerges in the enigmatic depth of Midnight Black, a satin finish exuding understated refinement.
Meanwhile, G1-70/123 manifests in an exquisite palette of hand-applied, high-luster finishes, each reminiscent of haute horology and the pinnacle of automotive artistry.
Each hue, polished to a near-mirror sheen, is the result of meticulous craftsmanship by artisans dedicated to perfection, imbuing G1 with an aesthetic that is as mesmerizing as its performance.

FAQs
G1 is natively compatible with these Direct Drives:
- VRS
- Simucube
- VNM
- Asetek (if you can remove the qr or have a 3rd party steering wheel)
- Fanatec (only with the podium hub or similar emulators)
- Moza (if the qr and steering wheel have 70mm pcd)
- Simagic (if the qr and steering wheel have 70mm pcd)
- Any other Direct Drive with a 70mm or Simucube bolt pitch pattern
If your DD has a different bolt pitch pattern, you can use an adapter to connect G1 to your Direct Drive or steering wheel.
G1 comes in 3 versions, one 70mm, 123mm long and 100mm only for Simucube Direct Drive Wheelbase.
G1 is very light, in fact it weighs only 119g for the 70mm version ,163g for the 123mm version and 181g for the SM version.
With G1 HUB you can get the perfect fov as you will be able to lower the monitor as much as you want.
The length of the central pillar is 45,5mm (for the 70mm) and 98,5mm (123mm).
We decided to create an offset double helix design so you can
more easily mount the hub using a screwdriver without effort.
